• The WoW team originally started off with a different project – they were making a game called Nomad, a role-playing game, but the decision was made that it was not making the progress we wanted. So one day we announced: “You’re no longer working on Nomad, now you’re going to make World of Warcraft!”
• now, with our vehicle system, we can do so many more things. And they’re not even just vehicles; we can use the system to have you grab a rope and swing on to a pirate ship – that’s done using the vehicle system, but to the player that’s all invisible, it just feels like a cool mechanic.

Updated Player Models
We definitely want to do it. Our artists would love to – believe me. The worgen and goblin took an enormous amount of art and animation time for Cataclysm. It’s definitely on the list though. We recognize the problem with old models in shiny new armor. (Source)

Anti-Crowd Control Talents
We are getting rid of a lot of the “being CC’d doesn’t really counter you” talents, because we think they have led to classes not having weaknesses. The fact that instant casts are so important in PvP we think is a direct result from mobility being so important which is a direct result of nobody being controlled. We just need to chill all of that stuff out. If CCs are too potent, we want to nerf the CCs, not give everyone “CCs are impotent” talents. (Source)

WotLK ICC25 man gear may make it to lvl 85 dungeon
A level-82 character should feel significantly more powerful than a level-80 character, for example. There are some epic and legendary items from Wrath of the Lich King raid content which may take a while to replace, but chances are most of your gear will be replaced by the time you start running level-85 normal 5-player dungeons.

We’re trying to keep everyone at about the same power level at 80. We want your Fireballs and Flash Heals to show about the same numbers before and after the conversion.

Now as soon as you gain a level from 80 to 81 all bets are off and numbers are going to start changing dramatically.

The vast majority of our dungeons must now be visited and their entrances explored before you can LFG for that dungeon. A few classic dungeons will always be available that are extremely hard to visit or are low level. Ragefire Chasm, Stormwind Stockade, Deadmines, and Wailing Caverns are automatically unlocked.

Confused, then Crushed
